Planejunkie.com announces a New Aviation Book with Original Pencil Drawing by Richard Taylor

PUYALLUP, Wash. - EntSun -- With an ORIGINAL PENCIL DRAWING by Richard Taylor and a specially printed Certificate of Authenticity, this realistic copy of the renowned leader of the Dambusters Raid's Flying Log Book is presented in its own luxury embossed presentation box. The box itself is 9 ¾" square x 1 ½" in thickness with a 5 ¾" x 2 ½" drawing included.

Only a small number have ever been created, officially licensed as a faithful reproduction of the original, which is preserved in the Public Records Office in London. It begins on 15 November 1940, with a 'aileron / elevator test' on a 29 Squadron Blenheim, and continues through all of his future flights, ending on 16 September 1944 with a 'air test' of a P-38 Lightning. Gibson was murdered three days later, on September 19, while flying a Mosquito over Holland. However, for Dambuster fans, the most essential entries are those running up to and involving the mission on the 16th and 17th of May 1943, when he led the Lancasters of 617 Squadron on Operation Tornado.
