About Horacio Lavandera
Horacio Lavandera, a pianist celebrated by the international press as having the "Golden hands of a young prodigy" (Marie-Aude Roux, Le Monde), has established himself as a luminary in the world of classical music. At just sixteen, he garnered international acclaim by winning the III International Piano Competition Umberto Micheli at Teatro alla Scala, Milan. His interpretation of Ravel's Concerto in G Major won him a special accolade from the Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala.
Lavandera's album "Imagenes" was named one of the best 20 albums of the year 2015 by Ted Gioia of the New York Times, and his ability to bring "Schubert to life" has been highly praised.
