New from BayView Entertainment: Indie Drama-Revenge Thriller Set in Ireland, 'Looker'

POMPTON PLAINS, N.J. - EntSun -- Film Distributor BayView Entertainment announces the release of Looker, a psychological drama that explores themes of guilt and inner turmoil, and a steely-eyed resolve to right wrongs via vengeance. The film is available now from finer streaming platforms.

The latest from writer-director Jason Figgis evokes the character-driven crime thrillers of directors John Michael McDonagh, Neil Jordan, and Martin McDonagh. Figgis makes similar use of Ireland as a backdrop, centering on figures who are not just operatives of its underworld, but victims of it, too.

Alfie White is on a mission to right a wrong. It is a personal mission and for him, there can be only one outcome. From city streets to coastal reaches, through night and day and journeys both visceral and emotional, White is brought into a collision course with Dublin native Barry Marshall, who's nursing demons of his own. The day of reckoning has arrived for them both.

"I have always been intrigued by loners, road movies and vengeance films so, over a cold January of 2026, I looked to develop a film utilizing all three," says Figgie. "I decided to film everything on the east coast of Ireland in a particularly picturesque series of locations to add beautiful County Dublin vistas to a story of stone-cold revenge."

Figgis has once more assembled a cast of favorite stock players from his previous films. Steven Jess is fresh from a major role in Figgis' most recent BayView Entertainment release, The House at the End of the Lane. Francesca Kingdon and Peter M. Smith also have starring roles, as well as co-producer credits. They can be seen in Figgis' Code Red: Spain, distributed internationally by BayView.
