Novel, All Our Girls, Targets Sex Traffickers in 1936 New York City
EntSun News/10764305
Yesterday an Ohio minister pleaded guilty to sex trafficking of children and sexual exploitation of children. Hundreds of cases worldwide have not yet been discovered or brought to justice. This novel, All Our Girls, can help bring more attention to this heinous crime.
CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio - Jan. 30, 2019 - EntSun -- In her newly released novel, All Our Girls, author Laurie Loveman portrays two women, now in their early fifties, who were formerly involved in prostitution. Linda Marie Newman and Jenny Donnelly, have been rescuing young girls from sex traffickers in New York City for more than twenty years. It's now 1936 and wealthy, politically and socially prominent Alderman Jayden Wallace has been enjoying the income from his secret side business of trafficking in young girls.
When Linda Marie and Jenny are called upon by their friend, NYPD Captain Will Peterson, to help a teenager involved in prostitution, the women are reunited with an old friend, Sharon Beckhurst. A month earlier, Sharon had sheltered the young woman named Sammi, after Sammi not only escaped from her pimp but stole cash from one of Wallace's brothels. Determined to capture Sammi and sell her out of state, and convinced Linda Marie is stealing his girls to start her own brothel, Wallace enlists help from the mafia to find both women. At the same time, Wallace's first-in-command henchman John Whitcomb is determined to avenge a past humiliation caused by Jenny that he plans to have end in her death. When Sammi's friend, Conrad Stanton, also becomes Wallace's target, Linda Marie sends the young man to safety in Woodhill, Ohio, where her estranged son is a firefighter.

McCann, are Linda Marie's and Jenny's allies in their quest to bring the law down on Wallace. Linda Marie has more to consider than Wallace's downfall, however. She must let go of the past to allow for a new future, but will her future be in New York City or in a small town in Ohio?
