Liquid Breathwork Opens February 2027 Breathwork Certification Intensive in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - EntSun -- Liquid Breathwork will run its next in-person Breathwork Certification intensive in Scottsdale, Arizona, Friday through Sunday, February 5 to 7, 2027. Each day runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and enrollment is capped at 20 students. The first three seats are $1,697. The rest are $1,997. Students who want to keep going after the weekend can add the 12-week live online cohort for $300.

Liquid Breathwork is an Arizona-based Breathwork practice offering classes, private and corporate sessions, and facilitator certification, founded by Ryan McBurney and Shelby Von Oepen. McBurney has guided Breathwork since 2018 and leads the teaching. Both teach the science of the breath, and Von Oepen brings fourteen years of nursing to the safety and physiology side.

The method is surrender-based and built around the sigh of relief: long exhales, breath holds, music, and a sound bath, with no screaming and no cathartic theatrics. Over the three days students learn the physiology behind the practice, how to build and hold a session, and then facilitate real participants before they leave, with McBurney and Von Oepen watching and giving feedback. Registered Yoga Teachers can log the training toward their Yoga Alliance continuing education hours through the Subject Matter Expert pathway.

"Twenty is the most we can teach well in one room," said McBurney. "Before anyone leaves on Sunday, every student has led a real session for a real person, and we were there watching. We've invested about $20,000 in our own Breathwork trainings, and some of the most expensive ones never had us do that. The certificate is ours. No outside body issues it. The Global Professional Breathwork Alliance will not list a program unless it runs at least nine months, and we don't think it takes nine months to be ready to hold a session. Many of our students start giving sessions in the weeks after training, one-on-ones and groups with their own clients."
