Latin-American award-winning Artists perform virtually in honor of the International Day of Peace

CLEARWATER, Fla. - EntSun -- United for Human Rights' Florida chapter celebrated the International Day of Peace on September 21st with a virtual concert, bringing artists together and streaming live to their followers in honor of peace and human rights education.
This year, the United Nations created the theme "Shaping Peace Together" for the International Day of Peace. In March, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on all warring parties to lay down their weapons and focus on the battle against this unprecedented global pandemic.
United for Human Rights partnered with Cantamos por La Paz and Fundacion Mejora La Vida and rallied up award-winning and Grammy-nominated Latin-American artists to perform for this concert. There were over an hour of performances played and streamed to an audience that tuned-in from as far afield as Spain, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela, Brazil, and more.
"The International Day of Peace is a day where the entire world can come together under a common cause, peace! And what better way to bring everyone together than with the sound of music," Said Cristian Vargas, the Executive Director of United for Human Rights' Florida chapter. "We're honored and humbled that these two amazing organizations, and all of these beautifully talented artists, came on board and promoted this vital message to the Hispanic community."
