Team Familiar, formerly known as Familiar Faces, reflects D. Floyd's never-dying aspirations for national exposure. His formula for realizing that vision involves penning lyrics relevant to current world events, and incorporating a strong go-go beat with memorable hook. Some of Team Familiar's most notable shows include, performing at D.C. Mayor, Muriel Bowser's Inauguration, and a sold-out Summer Breeze Concert at Nationals Stadium. 2018, Team Familiar took their talents to the next level and became global go-go ambassadors when Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, invited the group to the Pan-Afrikan Back-To the Roots Festival in Nigeria. While there, Team Familiar met Femi Kuti, son of legendary Afrobeats pioneer Fela Kuti. Team Familiar was the first ever go-go band invited to the Motherland by African royalty, an amazing accomplishment for the go-go industry.
