Journey Through the Past and Pottery Show & Sale at The Center for Contemporary Art

BEDMINSTER, N.J. - EntSun -- The Center for Contemporary Art (The Center) is pleased to participate in Somerset County's Journey Through the Past.

Visit select historic sites in person on Saturday, October 7, 2023 10:00am – 5:00pm and Sunday, October 8, 2023 Noon – 4:00pm—and virtually all month long at www.SCHistoryWeekend.com. Explore the vast history of Somerset County through a variety of different experiences. Learn what life was like 50… 100… or even 200 years ago.

The Center's Pottery Show & Sale will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2023 10:00am – 5:00pm and Sunday, October 8, 2023 Noon – 4:00pm in conjunction with Journey Through the Past, and will feature some of the best ceramic artists in the region. Artists will be selling their ceramic works of art and donating a portion of the proceeds to The Center.

The talented artists participating are: Jennifer Evans Arbo (Greenbrook), Pamela Beatty (Asbury), Andrea Carroll (Bridgewater), Travis Fine (Raritan), Yuri Gershtein (Highland Park), Sarah Gilbert (Matawan), Salena Holoman (Somerville), Keiko Inouye (Bridgewater), Aimee Mower-Lilly (Maplewood), Ann Parsekian (Basking Ridge), Larry Quirk (Plainfield), Joan Ruchelman (Neshanic Station), and Blanche Somer (Lebanon).

Included in this sale will be unique, functional, and sculptural gifts and ceramic art, utilizing various techniques of firing – electric, gas, raku, soda, and anagama wood-fired kilns.
