Greenpoint Film Festival Set to Return in August 2024 Submissions Open on November 1st

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - EntSun -- The Greenpoint Film Festival is thrilled to announce the return of its 13th annual edition, scheduled to take place from August 8 to 11, 2024. As a celebration of independent cinema and the vibrant neighborhood of Greenpoint in Brooklyn, this festival promises to captivate audiences with a diverse selection of films from all over the world, engaging panel discussions, filmmaker Q&As and intensive hands-on workshops.

Submissions for the 2024 Greenpoint Film Festival will open on November 1st, 2023 with the Earlybird submission period ending on January 11th, 2024. Submissions will be accepted in the following categories: feature and short narratives, feature and short documentaries, animations and XR Stories.

We are opening a new category this year titled XR Stories. XR or Extended Reality is an umbrella term that encompasses virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR). XR Stories are the combination of story and technology in immersive and interactive entertainment.
