Former AHL/NHL enforcer, Awareness alchemist, mental health coach and storyteller Kurtis Gabriel to launch and host The Fight Plan on April 20, 2026, a podcast about fights on the ice, in sports --- but really the fight we all take up against life.
OWEN SOUND, Ontario - EntSun -- Former AHL/NHL enforcer, Awareness alchemist, mental health coach and storyteller Kurtis Gabriel to launch and host The Fight Plan, a podcast about fights on the ice, in sports --- but really the fight we all take up against life, featuring interviews with opponents he has fought on the ice, athletes, mental health advocates and professionals, and anyone willing to join him and share their experience of being human.
Kurtis created The Fight Plan as a space for honest conversation — without performance, polish or pretense.
"Everyone has at least one fight, whether they know it or not," Gabriel said. "I am so curious to meet fellow souls wherever they may be at on their journey in this life and explore the human predicament from their perspective."
Kurtis brings depth and lived experience to conversations that go beyond the headlines and into what people are actually living. Sample topics include:

"Life's toughest fights happen off the ice," said Integrative Mental Health Coach Ben Meyers, co-host alongside Gabriel of the final thirty minute segment of each episode.
