Flint Youth Film Festival Shifts Gears, Becomes Vehicle City Film Festival
EntSun News/11091005
Expanded Vision Positions Flint as a National Destination for Film and Storytelling
FLINT, Mich. - EntSun -- After a decade of championing youth voices and creative storytelling, the Flint Youth Film Festival (FYFF) is officially shifting gears and entering a new chapter as the Vehicle City Film Festival (VCFF).
The new identity reflects the festival's evolution from a youth-focused initiative into a multi-generational film festival that welcomes youth, emerging, professional, and international filmmakers, while remaining deeply rooted in Flint.
Founded 10 years ago to provide young people with access to storytelling opportunities, FYFF has empowered hundreds of youth filmmakers through screenings, workshops, mentorship, and awards. As Vehicle City Film Festival, the organization builds on this foundation while expanding its platform to support filmmakers at every stage of their journey.
"Flint Youth Film Festival was always about voice, access, and possibility," said Rodney W. Brown, founder of iMichigan Productions. "This evolution to Vehicle City Film Festival honors the foundation we built with youth while opening the doors to storytellers everywhere who believe in the power of film to move culture forward."

VCFF continues its commitment to youth empowerment while expanding its reach:

"Vehicle City Film Festival creates space for youth, emerging, and professional filmmakers while strengthening Flint's position as a nationally recognized hub for bold and diverse storytelling."
