New single "Cass Tech" connects KayeDinero's Detroit foundation with influences from Drake and Hans Zimmer and a career spanning software, finance and aerial cinematography.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - EntSun -- What do Detroit hip-hop, cinematic film scores, Python code and the Blue Ridge Mountains have in common?

For KayeDinero, they all belong to the same creative language.

The Asheville-based artist and producer released "Cass Tech" on Sept. 15, bringing her Detroit roots back into focus while revealing just how wide the influences behind her increasingly cinematic catalog actually stretch.

"I don't really separate technical thinking from creative thinking," KayeDinero said. "A score has architecture. A beat has architecture. Software has architecture. I think I'm attracted to building things."

Her musical influences include Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5, Earth, Wind & Fire, Cameo, Kanye West, Big Sean and Drake, alongside more cinematic and instrumental inspirations including Hans Zimmer, Joshua Kyan Aalampour, Kenny G and violinist Josh Vietti.

From Jimmy Brooks to Drake

KayeDinero says her appreciation for Drake began before his global music career, when she watched Aubrey Graham portray Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Their paths later crossed twice: around a Drake performance at Michigan State University and, years later, during an encounter at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles.

"What always interested me was the evolution," KayeDinero said. "He kept expanding what people thought he could be."

That idea resonates with her own career.

Detroit Sound, Cinematic Thinking

"Cass Tech" arrives as KayeDinero increasingly brings her different disciplines together.

Her professional work spans software development, Python, data pipelines, financial analytics and TradingView indicator development, while her creative work includes music production and aerial cinematography.

Hans Zimmer helped shape another side of her musical thinking.

"Film scores taught me that music doesn't always need lyrics to tell you exactly where you are emotionally," she said. "Kenny G, Josh Vietti and other instrumental artists reinforced that for me."

Her latest projects include Human Error and Kulture Metrics, the latter featuring "Red Sea," "Drone Pilot" and "One World."

Detroit Roots, Asheville Perspective

KayeDinero now creates from Asheville, but Detroit remains visible throughout her work.

She also graduated high school alongside Big Sean, making Detroit's later impact on hip-hop feel especially personal.

"Detroit gave me the foundation," KayeDinero said. "Asheville gave me the space to hear what I wanted to build from it."
