John Franken survived the Nagasaki atomic bomb as a Prisoner of War in Japan. His wife, Sonja, survived the concentration camps in Nazi Europe, including Auschwitz. After witnessing and experiencing the worst of humanity first-hand, they found everlasting love, against all odds.
