Chesapeake Health Care Welcomes Dr. Encarnita Santos-Tecson to Adult Medicine Team

SALISBURY, Md. - EntSun -- Chesapeake Health Care is pleased to welcome Dr. Encarnita Santos-Tecson, a board-certified internal medicine physician, to its Adult Medicine team at the South Division Street location in Salisbury.
Dr. Santos-Tecson brings more than 25 years of experience in internal medicine and primary care to Chesapeake Health Care. Prior to joining the organization, she served as the Lead Physician at the Cambridge VA Outpatient Clinic for the VA Maryland Health Care System, where she provided care to veterans from 2001 through June 2026. She also served as a Battlefield Acupuncture provider during her tenure with the VA.
Before her work with the VA Maryland Health Care System, Dr. Santos-Tecson practiced as an internist caring for patients in sub-acute ventilator and respiratory units with Geriatric Service, P.C. and Dumont Masonic Home in New York.
Dr. Santos-Tecson earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City, Philippines. She later completed a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at the same institution. After relocating to the United States, she completed a three-year Internal Medicine/Primary Care residency through the New York Medical College Program in New Rochelle, New York.

Board certified in Internal Medicine since 1998, Dr. Santos-Tecson has maintained her certification through multiple recertifications and has been licensed to practice medicine in Maryland since 2002.
