LAS VEGAS - EntSun -- Gracefully Global Group, multicultural content creator and bilingual marketing and promotion services provider will be exhibiting at the ICAS convention in Las Vegas next week. Attendees are invited to visit Captain Mama at booth #131, across from the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.
Air Force veteran Graciela Tiscareño-Sato founded the firm 13 years ago. What began as a multicultural marketing and media relations firm quickly expanded to include indie publishing services. She wanted to create innovative literature that represents women, the Latinx community, and military veterans more inclusively. Two years ago, the team merged their business model serving school districts with the thrilling vibe at airshows, where children first fall in love with aviation.
The results have been spectacular; see this 60-second video showcasing the groundbreaking airshow marketing, promotion, media relations, and community outreach services delivered to airshow partners, schools, and families on the flight line.
"I do this media and community outreach work passionately as an airshow performer in Spanish and English, to help organizers attract first-time families like my own to their events," said Tiscareño-Sato. "I attended zero airshows as a child in Colorado simply because my parents, like millions of parents today, consume Spanish-language media and they never knew. Sadly, the vast majority of airshow organizers don't communicate event details via Spanish-language media, the opposite of inclusion. We're filling that gap. It's a need that exists in every community in the USA, a need that must be addressed for real attendance growth to happen. We've already seen the impact in communities where we've partnered to serve families before and during airshows and military Open Houses."

Graciela was awarded a four-year Air Force ROTC college scholarship that made attendance at UC Berkeley, possible. Four years later, her parents returned to pin 2Lt. bars on her shoulders. She was selected for Undergraduate Navigator Training and served nearly a decade as a navigator and instructor onboard the KC-135R aerial refueling tanker. She became the first Latina Air Force aviator to earn an Air Medal for combat air operations.
Graduate degree in International Management & Marketing in hand, Tiscareño-Sato worked as a global marketing manager in telecom and solar electronics sectors. She created marketing strategy, envisioned and executed marketing and publicity campaigns, and launched products in multiple languages across the globe, skills that enabled her to grow steadily as an entrepreneur, building a powerful team for over 13 years. Marketing clients include corporations, universities, professional associations and more. The work in Spanish and English, as publisher, author, keynote speaker, has positioned her company perfectly for what's needed in the airshow industry NOW.
Her global aviation adventures and a bedtime chat with her third child, inspired her to write Good Night Captain Mama/Buenas Noches Capitán Mamá, the first bilingual English/Spanish children's book about an aviator mother who serves in the military. That success led to the second and third titles: Captain Mama's Surprise / La Sorpresa de Capitán Mamá) and Taking Flight with Captain Mama/Despegando con Capitán Mamá. This trilogy has won 10 awards in international literary competitions.
The books are sponsored as giveaways at airshows, STEM Expos, and other community events where families gather; logo stickers on covers = branding tactic w/long shelf life. Author Meet-and-Greet events on the flight line delight families.

In May, the Oregon International Airshow team asked Captain Mama to announce the airshow in Hillsboro in Spanish via Facebook livestream, making Tiscareño-Sato the first person in the USA to do so. An airshow going bilingual attracted major media in the Portland/Hillsboro area.
Tiscareño-Sato and team are uniquely positioned to help more airshow communities go bilingual in 2024 to grow attendance numbers, expand community outreach, and give more children (and parents), whose first language is Spanish, a chance to fall in love with aviation at an airshow.
