Avow to host Sept. 27 job and volunteer fair for Veterans
EntSun News/10999737
NAPLES, Fla. - EntSun -- Avow will host a job and volunteer fair for Veterans on Sept. 27 to continue its support for the Veteran community. The event will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. in Avow's Dick Lee and Mary Martha Tonra Waterview Room in the Ispiri Community Center at 1205 Whippoorwill Lane in Naples.
Local employers will be in attendance for attendees to meet. The featured employers will be Avow, Conditioned Air, Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Sunshine Ace Hardware and Collier County Public Schools. Full-time, part-time and volunteer opportunities will be available for each organization.
At 3 p.m., the event will begin with the dedication of Avow's new We Honor Veterans recognition display case. The display case will include memorabilia from local heroes.
"As part of our We Honor Veterans partnership, it is important to Avow to give back to our Veterans when the opportunity arises," said Jaysen Roa, president and CEO of Avow companies. "We understand the importance that Veterans serve to our community, and our goal is to continue our support for Veterans by recognizing their efforts and repaying them with the resources they need to remain on their feet."

Avow is a Level 5 Partner with We Honor Veterans, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) in collaboration with the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). We Honor Veterans aims to demonstrate ultimate commitment to Veteran-centric care in the community. Level 5 distinction takes a year to reach and must be renewed annually. In early 2023, Avow was recertified as a Level 5 Partner with We Honor Veterans. Avow is one of 3.8% of hospice organizations that partner with We Honor Veterans to achieve Level 5 recognition, which is the highest designation. Throughout the year, Avow supports Veterans through a series of pinning ceremonies; approximately 2,000 pins are distributed to Veterans annually in recognition of their service. Avow hosts events throughout the year to honor Veterans, which include special readings, patriotic songs and additional pinning ceremonies.
Avow provides specialized care to Veterans in its hospice program who are dealing with a long-term or serious illness. Avow's services include Veteran-to-Veteran volunteer programs and training on medical and mental health concerns that are specific to conflict, as well as assistance with navigating VA benefits.
