AUA Med School Expands UK Clinical Program for Students

NEW YORK - EntSun -- American University of Antigua (AUA) College of Medicine, a leading international medical school, has expanded its clinical program in the United Kingdom under the terms of a new agreement with Yeovil District Hospital, a 345-bed facility in Somerset run by the Yeovil Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Qualified AUA medical school students can now choose to complete core and elective rotations at Yeovil District Hospital. AUA faculty and hospital physicians will be on hand to provide resources, learning experiences, and other support to participating clinical students.

"Studying in the United Kingdom is a tremendous opportunity for our students," said Neal Simon, university president. "Not only will students be introduced to an entirely different healthcare system, but they'll become more aware of the cultural and societal differences in healthcare on an international scale. I'm gratified that Yeovil District Hospital has partnered with us on this undertaking."
