Announcing Muslims for Progressive Values 2023 National Conference
EntSun News/10998956
NEW YORK - EntSun -- Muslims for Progressive Values (MPV) invites you to our upcoming 2023 National Conference, which will take place on Saturday September 30 and Sunday October 1, 2023 at the Union Theological Seminary in New York City, New York. The event will open with remarks from Rev. Dr. Serene Jones, the President of Union Theological Seminary and will conclude with closing remarks from El-Farouk Khaki, a Canadian human rights lawyer and the co-founder of el-Tawhid Juma Circle Mosque.
The objective for this conference is to formulate collective strategies and actions, uniting our progressive voices effectively in the pursuit of promoting and upholding human rights values on many issues playing out in the U.S. "Issues such as the Christian and Muslim Right's demand to opt out of public school inclusive curriculums, the many court cases and legislations curtailing the rights of LGBTQIA+ folks, women's reproductive rights and the influence of religion in American politics are some of the key areas we will be discussing" said MPV's president, Ani Zonneveld.
