2nd Annual Florida Family & Faith International Film Festival Powered By AARP Florida Celebrates Caregivers This Thanksgiving Season

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - EntSun -- In celebration of National Caregivers Month in November, AARP Florida today announces the launch of its 2^nd Annual Florida Family & Faith International Film Festival powered by AARP Florida. This virtual cinematic celebration will take place on November 19-29, 2021. This year's theme is "a celebration of caregivers and their families" and will feature an international film competition, Hollywood studio movies, and Talk Backs with the filmmakers.

AARP Florida Director of State Operations Dionne Polite said, "As we recognize and honor National Caregivers Month, AARP Florida is proud to support this celebration of empowerment through filmmaking. We are sharing these incredible stories with audiences around the world, and we hope Floridians will benefit from and enjoy this tribute to independent filmmakers. Join us in exploring heartfelt stories of caregivers and their families."

National Caregivers Month is a time to recognize the 2.9 million Floridians who are caring for loved ones, according to AARP Florida. In 2020, many caregivers have been overwhelmed given the pandemic and AARP Florida works every day to be a resource for them and their families. The organization is also presenting the Florida Family & Faith International Film Festival powered by AARP Florida as a way to say, "thank you" to caregivers. The virtual film festival will be free to AARP members and feature 20 movies from such countries as Spain, South Africa, Israel and the United States.
