"Truth Matters": a Relevant Release from Activist Songwriter Neal Fox, Available Now
EntSun News/10877594
Sometimes truth is painful, and sometimes it is unjust. But when it comes to guilt or innocence, only the real truth matters.
SAFETY HARBOR, Fla. - EntSun -- At an emotional time, when major legal decisions are being made, Neal Fox's timely release, "Truth Matters," arrives with its cautionary statement. The song is now available on all digital platforms.
Emotions are running high since the pandemic began. With the recent trial of Derek Chauvin, the tragically avoidable shooting of Daunte Wright, and now, Ma'Kiah Bryant, they are at a whole new level.
People make decisions based on what they hear, or because of what they think they see. Although well-meaning, observations are not always accurate. Rumors rarely are. Add to the mix personal convictions, which can also distort the facts. It takes careful investigation, and a lot of digging, to get the actual information of an incident, or a case.

Relating his song to recent racially charged events, Neal Fox says, "It's hard to put aside feelings like anger and grief. But whatever we think, a person's race doesn't—and shouldn't—determine guilt or innocence. Rushing to judgement—on either side—won't get justice, and will only make things worse."
"Truth Matters" is an overview of the 2020 pandemic-related protests and riots, and is a work from the in-progress album, Unhinged. The bleak mood of the song dissipates with the final verse:
But buried deep beneath some words of hate
I saw a placard torn in tatters
A ray of light, still not too late
One lonely sign said, "Truth Matters!"
That's the message Fox wants to leave with this song. In a nation torn apart by violence, its people divided, negative sentiments must be reigned in, and calm restored. For the good of everyone.
