The legendary Tony Woods headlines the first sanctioned indoor comedy event at Union Stage

WASHINGTON - EntSun -- Indoor laughter returned to Washington, DC with Tony Woods on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 7:30 pm at Union Stage.

Opening the Sold Out event was Eddie Liles of Broken Diamond Comedy & DMV Comedy and Haywood Turnipseed, Jr. of Attack of the Comics. Also in attendance to support this first sanctioned indoor comedic event was the host of Black Think Tank with Anthony and Patrice, Comedian Anthony Oakes. Headlining the show was none other than the legendary Tony Woods.

In compliance with the protocols outlined in the pilot program - Union Stage provided tickets in advance via online sales with guidelines listed on their website to ensure show attendees and performers would safely enjoy the show.

Mayor Bowser announced a Phase Two Live Entertainment Pilot that required the venue to submit and execute a detailed plan for operating and hosting an event. Among the venues approved was Union Stage.(https://coronavirus.dc.gov/phasetwo)
