The Center for Contemporary Art Offers Winter Art Classes for Adults, Teens & Children

BEDMINSTER, N.J. - EntSun -- The Center for Contemporary Art is pleased to offer art classes and workshops this winter for adults, teens and children beginning January 8. Select classes will be offered in a hybrid or virtual format. Classes and workshops are offered for artists with all levels of expertise in a variety of media including oil and acrylic paint, pastel, watercolor, drawing, needle felting, weaving, and ceramics.
There are more than forty-five winter adult classes including, "Portrait Drawing," "The Power of Pastels," "Morning Oil Landscape," "Artist Studio: Your Choice," "Morning Watercolor," "Media Sampler," "Chinese Brush Painting," "iPad Drawing and Painting," "Intro to Acrylic Painting," "Beginner Watercolor," "Evening Painting," and ceramics classes such as "Beginner Wheel Throwing," "Morning Wheel Throwing and Hand Building," "Sculpture," and "Advanced Ceramics." New classes this winter include "Introduction to Writing," "Introduction to Weaving," "Introduction to Needle Felting," "Multimedia Found Object," and "Art History and Art Appreciation."

Winter workshops offer students the opportunity to try something new. Workshops include "Pen & Ink," "Colored Pencil," "Monoprinting," "Animal Portraiture," "Winter Scene in Watercolor," "Pysanky Egg Dyeing," and "Introduction to Street Art."
In person classes are available for teens and children. For children ages 5-8 classes include "Mixed Media," "Painting in Depth," "Drawing in Depth," and for children ages 6-8 "Pottery". Students ages 9-11 can select from "Mixed Media," "Drawing in Depth," "Painting in Depth," and "Pottery." Teen offerings include "Drawing Intensive," "Pottery," and "Painting Intensive."
In person classes will be offered for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs beginning January 23. Students will explore a variety of art projects specifically geared to their interest and ability both in two-and-three dimensional approaches.
