Texas: Governor Abbott Announces Approval Of Medicaid Funding By The Federal Government

~ In a major victory for Texas patients, Governor Greg Abbott announced today that the state has successfully secured nearly $12 billion in critical Medicaid funding. After months of negotiations with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), this funding will provide much-needed support to hospitals, physicians, rural clinics, nursing facilities, and behavioral health providers across the state.
Governor Abbott expressed his gratitude for this achievement, stating that the funding authorization will ensure that emergency rooms remain open, rural families can continue to receive local care, and all Texans have access to necessary medical treatment.
