As the city continues to grow and evolve, Deputy Mayor Bushnell believes it is crucial to have a minimum wage that works for Tacoma.
"Cost of living remains one of the top concerns for our residents," stated Deputy Mayor Bushnell. "I am committed to thoroughly analyzing a minimum wage proposal that takes into account the diverse experiences and perspectives that make up Tacoma's economy. This includes hearing from as many people as possible on this issue."
The topic of fair wages has been an ongoing conversation among Tacoma residents, with discussions revolving around how it impacts workers, families, employers, and the overall health of the local economy.
