Suncoast Credit Union Foundation provides $25,000 to NAMI Colli-er County

NAPLES, Fla. - EntSun -- NAMI Collier announces a charitable gift of $25,000 from Suncoast Credit Union Foundation. The funds will be used to increase access to high-quality mental healthcare for some of the most vulnerable children and teens in Collier County. Florida ranks 44^th in the country for mental healthcare access, and there are an estimated 930 residents to each mental healthcare provider, over three times the national rate. With the support of the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation, NAMI Collier will continue to provide a clinical continuum of care to children and their families.

"NAMI Collier could not be more grateful for the committed support from Suncoast Credit Union Foundation. A three-year grant has allowed our HUGS Children's Mental Health Program the stability needed to make meaningful change in our region. Last year, we served 794 children and their families, and next year, we'll reach even more," explained Beth Hatch, CEO of NAMI Collier. "Thanks to this funding, HUGS clinical staff will continue to provide individualized interventions for families who would otherwise struggle to access mental healthcare services."

Suncoast Credit Union, Florida's largest credit union, founded Suncoast Credit Union Foundation to promote the education, health and emotional well-being of children in the community. Each time a Suncoast member uses their debit or credit card, the credit union donates four cents to the Foundation to fund local initiatives. Since its inception in 1990, the Foundation has raised and donated more than $68 million.
