Filmmaker Cindy Di Xin was born and raised in Nanning Guangxi, China. She holds a bachelor's degree from School of Visual Arts (NY) & her first master's degree in directing from Chapman University (CA).
LOS ANGELES - EntSun -- Cindy Di Xin shares captivating insights on filmmaking and leveraging her life experiences to create two emotionally stirring short films such as VOICELESS and The day, at the Beach. In her words, "I became a filmmaker because I enjoy telling stories that, though they can sometimes be easily overlooked in daily life, connect and comfort audiences. I have lived in countries with completely different cultural backgrounds and have experienced two different types of families, which have given me more opportunities to learn about family dynamics." Her interview with KreativeCircle.com sheds light on how her international and academic experiences shaped her approach to filmmaking from how she conceptualizes her ideas to presenting them before global audiences. As the recipient of the International Independent Film Awards and Tokyo Film Awards, she discusses her experience of having her work appreciated on the global stage as new projects unfold in the near future.
