EntSun News/10948739
Traditions. Needed now more than ever, especially at Christmas. Traditions are what we remember from our childhood. They shape us, help us grow and help us remember. But Christmas traditions can vary from country to country. Learn some of these here.
MADISON, Ala. - EntSun -- Madison, AL and Stirling, Scotland – A newly released podcast by two very different Christmas authors have hit the airwaves. The podcast "Traditionally Speaking" looks at the many different traditions and customs that have come to be associated with Christmas and explores how they are celebrated in the USA, Scotland, and other parts of the world.
The two hosts are Tom Christie, who hails from Stirling, Scotland, and is an author and director of Extremis publishing who penned four books on the subject of Christmas, most notably, the movies for the season. He is joined by Joe Moore from Alabama in the U.S. Moore is a twenty-year professional Santa Claus, author of eight Children's books, and has several published novels that take place in and around Christmas.

The hosts discuss traditions from Christmas Crackers and Christkindle candles to the history and impact of Clement Moore's poem "The Night Before Christmas", in which Moore produced a new updated version from Santa Claus' point of view, "The Christmas Eve Journey". Other traditions and their origins will be discussed by the two and how each is celebrated in their respective countries and other places around the world.
Available on nearly every podcast platform including Apple, Amazon, and Spotify, to name a few, the first three episodes have been released with a new podcast to follow every month. The idea of the hosts is to inspire new traditions and rekindle celebrations that have faded adding more fun and excitement to the Christmas season which has lost some of its importance throughout the world.
"Many people love Christmas," Christie observes, "but there is a special fascination about the way that different countries celebrate the festivities. Joe and I hope to take a look at some of the great Christmas traditions and discuss how they differ between the USA and Scotland, as well as other parts of the world. But of course, it wouldn't be Christmas if we didn't delve into some surprising eccentricities along the way!"

Moore states, "We need Christmas and its traditions more today than ever. We hope to not only inspire new and fun ways to celebrate this special time of year, but to also revive many great traditions from other countries and our own, which will make precious memories for our children and families for years to come."
