Retired librarian Marian Greene stumbles upon a body during a morning walk and is confronted by a giant. Is the ogre a figment of her imagination or the Genoskwa of Seneca myth? Gunfire, a second body, and two missing people ignite a community-wide search for answers. Hidden truths and secret agreements are uncovered, and Marian, husband Lester, and their friends are soon confronting their own demons and wondering, "Who is the real monster?"

Booklife Prize said this about the author: "Hagan has a knack for character development and ties the characters well into the broader storytelling.
