National Child Welfare News Network Hires Proven Leader to Drive Revenue
EntSun News/10790077
LOS ANGELES - EntSun -- Fostering Media Connections (FMC) – a national nonprofit news organization focused on children, youth and families – is excited to announce the addition of Simone Maxwell-Wilson to the team.
Maxwell-Wilson will be charged with building relationships and maximizing revenue from FMC's key publications: The Chronicle of Social Change and Fostering Families Today.
Based in Florida, Maxwell-Wilson will work closely with government and private agencies to provide these resources to employees, foster families, advocates and other key stakeholders. She is well qualified for her new role.
"I am excited to join Fostering Media Connections because I have an intrinsic passion for child welfare. My interest was heightened 10 years ago when I decided to volunteer with a local foster care agency as a tutor," Maxwell-Wilson said.
"Most importantly, it is great to work with a company so focused on helping others and bringing awareness to critical issues," she said.

Maxwell-Wilson has experience in education, hospitality, client and professional services, business development and human resources. She has also served as an adjunct professor with Purdue University Global and is a co-chair of the Young Advocates for Foster Kids, where she serves as a tutor, fundraiser and mentor.
While she's currently pursuing a doctorate in organizational leadership, Maxwell-Wilson also earned masters degrees in business administration and higher education. Her passions include teaching, traveling, training and helping others.
"I am absolutely thrilled to have Simone join our team," said FMC President Daniel Heimpel. "Simone understands the unique needs of the foster families and child welfare professionals we serve. We are looking forward to the connections she forges."
Organizations looking to discuss partnership opportunities ranging from sponsorship in FMC's publications to delivering our award-winning magazine to the homes of foster families across the nation can reach out to Maxwell-Wilson at simone@fosteringmediaconnections.org or at 305.244.9561.

ABOUT Fostering Media Connections
Fostering Media Connections is a nonprofit news organization that uses a mix of investigative and accountability journalism to drive reform within the systems that serve vulnerable children, youth and their families.
FMC publishes The Chronicle of Social Change and Fostering Families Today magazine. Through its Youth Voice Program, FMC trains youth who have experienced the foster care or juvenile justice systems how to produce top-flight journalism.
The Chronicle is FMC's flagship daily news site, covering child welfare and juvenile justice news nationally.
Fostering Families Today (FFT) is an award-winning bi-monthly print and online magazine that is distributed to over 30,000 foster families and kin caregivers. FFT families are educated about the latest developments in trauma-informed care, and provided with an opportunity to earn continuing education credits to retain their foster family licenses.
