Mesa: Regional Hiring Event Connects Job Seekers with Over 100 Employers

~ Mesa, AZ- The City of Mesa is gearing up to host the first annual Elevate East Valley Workforce Hiring Event on Tuesday, Sept. 29. This regional hiring event is a collaborative effort between Maricopa County and the neighboring communities of Gilbert, Tempe, Chandler, Queen Creek and Apache Junction.

According to Mesa Mayor Mark Freeman, workforce development and education are top priorities for the city. "We want our residents to have access to good jobs and meaningful career opportunities, and we want our businesses to have the skilled workforce they need to succeed," he stated. The Elevate East Valley event is a prime example of what can be achieved when working together as a region.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mesa Convention Center located at 263 N. Center St. Over 100 employers from various industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality and tourism, information technology and local government will be present at the event. This provides job seekers with a diverse pool of skilled talent to connect with.
