~ As the July 21 Primary Election approaches, the Mesa City Clerk's Office is reminding voters to double-check the location and hours of official ballot drop boxes before returning their early ballots. This reminder comes as part of the office's efforts to ensure a smooth and efficient voting process for all residents.

According to the City Clerk's Office, official ballot drop box locations and hours can be found on locations.maricopa.vote. These locations are specifically designated for each election and may change based on availability and accessibility. Therefore, voters are encouraged to confirm their preferred drop box location before heading out.

In addition to drop boxes, early ballots can also be returned by mail. However, voters are advised to send in their ballots early enough to arrive by July 21. The deadline to request an early ballot is July 10.

To stay updated on the status of their early ballot, voters can text JOIN to 628-623 or visit BeBallotReady.Vote.

The Mesa City Council has called for a Primary Election on July 21, 2026, in order to elect Councilmembers in Districts 4, 5, and 6. These positions have terms that will expire in January 2031.
