Mesa: Arizona Celebration of Freedom Hosts a 250th Birthday Party for the USA

The FREE, family ~ As the United States prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, the Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom (ACOF) is gearing up for a night of festivities to honor this momentous occasion. The event will take place at the Mesa Convention Center and Mesa Amphitheatre on July 4th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The ACOF is a free, family-friendly event that promises to be a memorable night of fun. The highlight of the evening will be a true Happy Birthday party at the Mesa Amphitheatre at 8:45 p.m. Attendees can look forward to a community singalong of both "Happy Birthday" and "God Bless America," as well as a procession and posting of colors by the Mesa Police Department Honor Guard. There will also be a special "Family Photo" opportunity in front of the stage, and attendees can enjoy a birthday cupcake when leaving the Amphitheatre after the program.

Mayor Mark Freeman expressed his excitement for this year's celebration, stating, "Birthdays bring people together, and America's 250th birthday is no exception. As we celebrate this historical year, we also honor the generations of service, sacrifice, and civic spirit that have shaped our nation and our community." He invites everyone to join in on this unforgettable evening as they celebrate America's past, present, and future together.

The ACOF will feature patriotic activities both outdoors and inside the air-conditioned Mesa Convention Center. Outside displays will include the Patriotic Military Showcase with over 35 vintage military vehicles, an Army enlistment ceremony at 7:45 p.m., BMX Patriotic Superhero Stunt Show, All-American Car Show, live music on two stages, food court, picnic games, and Celebration Splash Zone with inflatable waterslides. Inside events include Phoenix Championship Wrestling, Let Freedom Ring Laser Light Show, Hall of Flags, and Fallen Soldiers Memorial.

The event will culminate with a Salute to America Program at 9:15 p.m., followed by a drone show at 9:25 p.m. sponsored by NTT Global Data Centers, and a spectacular fireworks display at 9:35 p.m.
