Macomb Township Chiropractic Helps Teen Return To Wrestling Patient After Back, Hip, and Neck Injuries
EntSun News/11104066
MACOMB, Mich. - EntSun -- Wrestling is one of the most physically demanding sports for young athletes, requiring strength, flexibility, balance, and explosive movement. For teenage wrestler Ivynn, the physical demands of the sport began taking a serious toll on his body, causing severe low back, hip Pain, and neck pain that interfered with both wrestling and everyday life.
Ivynn came to Macomb Township Chiropractic after his pain had progressively worsened during wrestling season. He described his discomfort as so severe that he "couldn't sit still." The pain was affecting his ability to fully participate in practices and competitions and was even making everyday activities, including sitting at school, uncomfortable.
His mother had also noticed changes in his posture, including a visible tilt around his clavicle area, raising concerns that something more than simple muscle soreness could be contributing to his problems.
Dr. Chris McNeil performed a comprehensive chiropractic consultation and examination, including chiropractic X-rays to evaluate Ivynn's spine and posture. The X-rays revealed multiple spinal misalignments that were contributing to pressure and irritation affecting the nerves causing his neck pain, back pain and hip pain from wrestling injuries.

Based on these findings, Dr. Chris developed a personalized care plan designed around Ivynn's condition and athletic needs. His treatment included specific chiropractic adjustments along with postural rehabilitation designed to improve spinal alignment and retrain the supporting muscles to maintain healthier positioning.
Over the next six months, Ivynn remained committed to his care plan and made steady progress. As his spinal alignment and posture improved, his pain gradually subsided. By the end of his treatment, Ivynn reported that he was "completely better"! He had achieved total relief from neck pain, back pain and hip pain wrestling injuries at Macomb Township Chiropractic.
Most importantly, he was able to return to the wrestling mat, compete without pain, work out comfortably, and participate in his normal daily activities without the limitations he had experienced before treatment.
Wrestlers can experience significant stress on the spine, hips, neck, and supporting muscles from repetitive grappling, twisting, lifting, bridging, and sudden changes in direction. Symptoms can include back and hip pain, stiffness, reduced flexibility, neck and shoulder pain, radiating discomfort, and difficulty with normal athletic movements.
