Lake Norman Philharmonic - Free Annual Holiday Concert

The Lake Norman Philharmonic (LKN PHIL) returns to Charles Mack Citizen Center for its Annual Holiday Concert on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at 4:00 P.M. Admission is free to the public.
MOORESVILLE, N.C. - EntSun -- The Lake Norman Philharmonic is excited to return to the Charles Mack Citizen Center for its Annual Holiday Concert!
This year, the concert will feature some very special guests – students of the Piedmont Community Charter Middle School Chorus. Directed and taught by Ms. Elizabeth Henderson, the Chorus hails from Piedmont Community Charter School in Gastonia, NC. Ms. Henderson has been teaching music and chorus to students since 2005 including teaching at international schools in China and Spain. Her students will be performing several selections with the Orchestra, including Believe from The Polar Express.
Another special guest this year is soloist Joshua Adkins, Executive Director of the Gaston School of the Arts. Mr. Adkins will be performing one of our holiday favorites, I'll Be Home for Christmas. Besides his vocal talent, Joshua enjoys broad musical knowledge and experience, with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Vocal Performance from Appalachian State University, additional studies in Europe, and he has also served as Director of Music and as Worship Pastor at organizations in Gastonia.

The Orchestra will play holiday favorites such as Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and it wouldn't be the holidays without a seasonal favorite, Sleigh Ride, along with other popular holiday tunes to lift your spirits!
"This concert is a collaborative event that will showcase the local and regional talent that have worked very hard to bring the best of their holiday music to the community," Conductor Eduardo Cedeňo said. "We're so excited to share the holiday spirit with our friends and their families."
DETAILS:
Seating is in the large banquet hall; doors open at 3:50 P.M. Free parking is located in the back of the Charles Mack Citizen Center. The facility is handicap accessible and has elevators; special accommodation is available. Seating is first to come basis; large groups or those needing special accommodation should contact us at lknphilharmonic@gmail.com prior to the concert date.

The Lake Norman Philharmonic, ("LKN PHIL), is a registered, nonprofit community orchestra founded and conducted by Maestro Eduardo Cedeño. The LKN Phil is comprised of community musicians and is open to local instrumentalists desiring to share their talent, and perform orchestral music that enhances performing arts in communities surrounding the Lake Norman, North Carolina region. The LKN Phil is committed to outreach and collaboration with artists from the local community and universities with programs that foster music education. The LKN Phil performs from four to six concerts a year beginning in April and continuing through early December. No audition is required; rehearsals are held every Monday evening, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Langtree Charter Academy Upper School in Mooresville, NC. Website: lknphil.org (https://www.lknphil.org/)
