Keenan & Associates Data Breach: Murphy Law Firm Investigates Legal Claims

On August 27, 2023, Keenan detected suspicious activity on its computer network, indicating a data breach. Based on a subsequent forensic investigation, Keenan determined that cybercriminals infiltrated the inadequately secured computer systems and thereby gained access to its sensitive files. The investigation further determined that, through this infiltration, cybercriminals gained access to files containing the sensitive personal information of 1,509,616 individuals. The information exposed in the data breach includes:

• Dates of birth
• Driver's license numbers
• Passport numbers
• Health information
• Health insurance information
