The Outer Rim Sci-Fi Film Festival welcomes award-winning writer/director/editor Mike Jackson to Baltimore for the Saturday, August 29 prime-time screening of TIME HELMET — a scrappy, heartfelt time-travel comedy starring Peter New as an inventor who must battle his own bitter future self, and the Time Police, to win back his daughter's love.

BALTIMORE - EntSun -- BALTIMORE, MD — The Outer Rim: The Off-World Experience announces 8:00 pm Saturday, August 29 screening of TIME HELMET, the award-winning sci-fi comedy from writer/director/editor Mike Jackson, during the festival's third annual run, August 28–30, 2026, at the Baltimore Science Fiction Society. Jackson will attend in person for a post-film Q&A.

Inventor Donald Voltmann is down on his luck and estranged from his young daughter when he builds a Time Helmet — a device that projects his mind through time and transmits a version of himself from 30 years in the future into his present-day body. But Future Don is bitter and unhinged, plotting to patent-troll his ex and steal her invention before she can protect it. When his second helmet is stolen by the foul-mouthed teenager next door, her future self is revealed as Officer Slaughter of the Time Police — and Don must fight them both to avoid financial ruin and win back his daughter's love.
