Hope Services To Launch Construction Of New Hudson Vocational Training Center With Smash For Cash

HUDSON, Fla. - EntSun -- Hope Services, a nonprofit organization providing vocational training and employment support to individuals with disabilities and others facing barriers to employment, will launch construction of its newly purchased second Life Skills and Vocational Training Center on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026.

The organization will celebrate with a community-wide Smash for Cash Party from 4 to 7 p.m. at the new facility, located at 6901 County Road 52, Hudson, Florida 34667. Community members, supporters, businesses and families are invited to tour the future training center and see Hope Services' vision for transforming the former GTE Financial building.

"This event is about more than beginning construction—it is about inviting the community to become part of the transformation," said David Caldas, Executive Director of Operations for Hope Services. "Every wall we remove brings us one step closer to creating new training and employment opportunities for the individuals and families we serve."

Guests can enjoy games, activities and local food trucks while learning how the new center will expand Hope Services' ability to provide hands-on vocational training, life skills education and employment opportunities.

Through the Smash for Cash experience, attendees can donate toward the building's transformation and help begin the demolition process by breaking through a designated section of wall.

The event will also highlight Visionary Sponsorship opportunities for businesses, families and community supporters, including opportunities to name rooms and training areas and receive recognition on the center's Visionary Sponsors Wall.
