Former MP G.V. Harsha Kumar Meets AICC General Secretary Mukul Wasnik to Escalate the 'March for Democracy and Andhra Pradesh Politics.
NEW DELHI - EntSun -- Former Member of Parliament Shri G.V. Harsha Kumar met with All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Shri Mukul Wasnik in New Delhi today to address urgent political developments and the trajectory of nationwide grassroots movements.
The primary agenda of the meeting was to brief the Congress national leadership on the momentum of the recent 'March for Democracy.' The movement was launched to protest alleged irregularities and mass voter disenfranchisement stemming from the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
During the consultation, the two leaders mapped out comprehensive strategies to defend constitutional rights. Shri Harsha Kumar detailed the ground-level impact of the SIR exercise in Andhra Pradesh, and together they discussed frameworks to escalate their fight to protect democratic values across the nation.

This strategic alignment is reinforced by a shared political history that spans four decades. Both leaders rose through the ranks of the Congress party's youth wings during the mid-1980s. While Shri Mukul Wasnik led at the national level as the All India President of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) from 1984 to 1986, Shri G.V. Harsha Kumar was simultaneously driving youth mobilization as the Vice President of the Andhra Pradesh Youth Congress.
Coming up through the same youth and student organizations during the exact same era established a foundation of mutual trust. This shared background in early political mobilization explains their natural alignment on current democratic initiatives and grassroots campaigns like the 'March for Democracy.'
