Givsen Launches A Checkout That Makes Buying for Someone Else as Easy as Buying for Yourself
EntSun News/11103456
The Wollongong-built platform lets shoppers send a purchase to anyone without needing their address, and is now live on its own demonstration store.
SYDNEY - EntSun -- Givsen, a new checkout technology built for the moment a shopper is buying for someone other than themselves, has launched at givsen.com.
Buying for yourself online takes seconds. Buying for someone else usually doesn't. Shoppers need the recipient's address, which often means asking and spoiling the surprise, or swapping out their own saved details at checkout. Many simply give up, or settle for a generic gift card instead of the thing they actually wanted to give.
Givsen removes that friction. At checkout, the shopper chooses "Give with Givsen" and sends the recipient a personal link. The recipient opens it, sees what's been sent, and enters their own delivery address to claim it. Shoppers who already know the address can enter it directly instead, without touching their own saved details.

"Most giving between people isn't tied to a birthday or a holiday," said Gregory Putland, founder of Givsen. "It's a necklace you spot that looks exactly like your best friend, or something small to say you're thinking of someone. Those moments happen every day, and a lot of them die at checkout because of friction, not because people stopped caring. Givsen is built to make sure they don't."
Givsen changes how a purchase is addressed, not how it's paid for. There is no lending or buy-now-pay-later component. It is live now on Givsen's own demonstration jewellery store and is built to plug into WooCommerce-based retailers, with support for additional ecommerce platforms planned.
Givsen was founded in 2025 by Gregory Putland in Wollongong, New South Wales, and is self-funded.
