Jimmy Britt Chevrolet donated trailer load of items to Granger Chevrolet and the Orange County United Way.
BEAUMONT, Texas & GREENSBORO, Ga. - Oct. 16, 2017 - EntSun -- Southeast Texas was hit with a devastating natural disaster, Hurricane Harvey, on August 29th 2017 which flooded most of Orange County. The majority of homes and businesses in the area were impacted in some way with numerous being completely destroyed. The need in the area was tremendous and immediate.
Granger Chevrolet received a phone call from a dealership in Greensboro Georgia letting them know that they felt it in their hearts to give to Orange County. "We had a tornado hit us a few years back and we understand the needs of your community and want to give back" stated Jeremy Parrish. So the kind people at Jimmy Britt Chevrolet started a collection and October 6th, 2017 a large truck and trailer pulled up to Granger Chevrolet with necessary items like water, baby food, diapers, and some clothing.
The staff at Granger Chevrolet immediately got in touch with The Orange County United Way, headed up by Maureen McAlister, and brought the much needed supplies to their distribution center. "We were so thankful for everything they sent from Georgia and know this will help the people of Orange County" stated Maureen McAlister.
