Founders Bank Appoints Alex Orfinger to Board of Directors

WASHINGTON - EntSun -- Founders Bank today announced the appointment of Alex Orfinger to its Board of Directors. A respected business and community leader, Orfinger brings decades of experience in strategic leadership, business media and civic engagement to the board.

Orfinger recently concluded a 30-year tenure leading the Washington Business Journal, where he served as market president and publisher and helped establish the publication as an influential voice in the Greater Washington business community. He also previously served as executive vice president of American City Business Journals, supporting publications and business communities across the country.

Throughout his career, Orfinger has been deeply involved in Greater Washington's business, civic and nonprofit communities. He has held leadership or board roles with organizations including Leadership Greater Washington, the Greater Washington Board of Trade, the Greater Washington Community Foundation, the DC Chamber of Commerce, Greater DC Cares, United Way of the National Capital Area, and the Washington Area Women's Foundation. His current board roles include Jubilee Housing and the Inova Foundation.  Working with the Community Foundation, he helped establish the David Bradt and Alex Orfinger Nonprofit Leadership Fund, which supports the professional development of nonprofit leaders across the region.

Orfinger earned a bachelor's degree in history from Vassar College and a master's degree in international affairs from Georgetown University.
