The Foundation for a Drug-Free World Florida chapter marks the 5th anniversary of the opening of its center in downtown Clearwater by informing the community of its accomplishments.
CLEARWATER, Fla. - EntSun -- While the coronavirus pandemic has prohibited large celebrations, the Foundation for a Drug-Free World (FDFW) Florida chapter is yet marking the 5th anniversary of the opening of its center in Clearwater by informing the community of the results of five years of FDFW's drug education campaign in the area.
Since opening on July 11, 2015, and before the pandemic, FDFW Florida chapter had held over 1,000 events reaching 1.3 million people. Nearly 10,000 people have visited the FDFW center in downtown Clearwater to tour the displays and watch scores of videos and films which provide valuable information on drugs and their effects. FDFW also worked with over 2000 like-minded organizations and individuals and has distributed over 2.25 million drug education materials throughout Florida.

"We are very happy to have a location where anyone from the community can come in and learn the facts about drugs and where educators can get the resources they need to empower youth with the Truth About Drugs," Said Ms. Julieta Santagostino, the President of FDFW Florida chapter since 2007. "It is also a great place for our volunteers to work and meet with like-minded individuals who share our passion for drug education."
The Foundation for a Drug-Free World provides free drug education materials to anyone who would like to inform themselves or others of the facts about drugs. This includes 14 different information booklets on the most commonly abused drugs and a documentary "Real People Real Stories." FDFW also offers free online courses utilizing the booklets and videos.
