Flutist Pamela Whitman's Playmates Quartet Perform Virtual Earth Day Concert

OCEAN CITY, N.J. - EntSun -- Marmora-Compassionate Heart Productions is proud to present "Earth", a Virtual Earth Day concert on April 22 at 6:00 PM EST. The concert will feature Ocean City Pops flutist Pamela Whitman and her Playmates Quartet in classical, popular and original music inspired by nature.
The program will include selections by Debussy, Schocker, Muramatsu, Mancini, Magalif and more. Pamela Whitman and Rich Kurtz will perform original new age music from their recording, "Ancient Vision". Pamela Whitman's Playmates Quartet features Scott Breiner on piano and Digital Organ; Rich Kurtz on bass and Jason Koenig on Drums.
The concert will be followed by a Q&A chat with composer Eugene Magalif, whose work "Colibri" (Hummingbird) will be highlighted. Magalif is an award-winning composer known for his compositions in multiple genres. His compositions have been featured on radio and television broadcasts and in performances in Europe, the United States and Russia. Magalif's music has been performed at The White House six times.

Tickets are available on a donation basis at https://viewstub.com/Earth-Concert. Tickets can be used to view the concert live and on demand. Donations benefit nonprofit organization Compassionate Heart Productions, whose mission is to produce productions that promote peace and compassion for all.
Pamela has been the Principal Flutist of the Ocean City Pops Orchestra since 1989. She is an active chamber musician and recording artist. She founded the touring world-rock band WorldColor. The band brought together musicians from around the globe to promote peace. She led a three-year cultural exchange program with Nepal that included broadcasts, recordings, tours and documentaries. Artists for a Better World honored Whitman with an award for her humanitarian work as a musician. She has starred in performances around the world on leading concert stages, Himalayan mountain schools, Indian Reservations, Rainforests, Spiritual Centers and more. A concert and remote broadcast from Ascope Peru are scheduled for October 2021 in collaboration with pan flutist Cesar Villalobos.

Scott J. Breiner is a gifted pianist, organist and choirmaster. He has been the Music Director at Grace Lutheran in Somers Point, New Jersey, since 2007. He serves as musical director and accompanist for choruses and musical theater groups in the Northeast. Scott is a member of the American Guild of Organists. He has served as guest conductor and guest organist with the Ocean City Pops Orchestra. In July 2005, he became the director and one of the founders of the Cape Shore Chorale. Scott performs regularly at Atlantic City's Convention Hall on the World's Largest Pipe Organ.
Funding has been made possible in part by the New Jersey Council on the Arts/Department of State, the National Endowment for the Arts, and The Cape May County Board of County Commissioners through the Division of Culture & Heritage.
