Fashion Week Columbus Announces Local Fashion Designer Lineup for 12th Anniversary

COLUMBUS, Ohio - EntSun -- Fashion Week Columbus selected five local fashion designers to showcase their collections during the week-long affair that celebrates local fashion designers. These designers will present their collections at one, (or both) of two Fashion Week Columbus events: 12th Annual Finale Runway Show on Saturday, October 2, 6pm-11pm at Gravity in Columbus, Ohio, and 12th Annual High Fashion Tea Runway Show on September 26th, 1pm - 4pm at The Joseph.

Designers were selected based on whose collections reflected the best technical skills, saleability, being on trend, and overall cohesiveness.

Finale Runway Show designers include:

• Xantha Ward/ Xantha
• Zhane Wiley/ Haus of Dawlingz
• Gerardo Encinas/ Encinas Designs
• Destiny Howard/ Destiny Howard
• Vince Quevedo/ Vinci Designs

Columbus is ranked third in terms of the number of resident fashion designers, trailing only to New York and Los Angeles.

"Fashion Week Columbus has been a staple for Central Ohio designers, models, industry professionals, and volunteers to launch their careers and passions," said Nia Noelle, the Program Director of Fashion Week Columbus.

"Fashion should push and challenge you at the same time, which will force you to think outside the box," said Jennifer M. Moore, Style Director of Fashion Week Columbus. "This year's finale runway show pushes the boundaries and speaks directly to the climate of our country right now that will for sure leave our audience breathless."

The FWC21 Designers will be introduced at the Fashion Week Columbus Launch Party on September 16th at Gravity. This event  is open to the public and free to attend. RSVPs are required.

Fashion Week Columbus runs Saturday, September 26, 2021 through Saturday, October 2, 2021 and will follow COVID-19 mandates set by state and local authorities.The headline designer for the Finale Runway Show will be announced at the Fashion Week Launch Party on September 16th at Gravity.
