Dry Bar Comedian Hits 1.5 Million Views in 1st Week

LOS ANGELES - April 18, 2019 - EntSun -- Comedian Marc Yaffee's Dry Bar Comedy special, Mid-Laugh Crisis, debuted to a strong social media response.  In just under six days, the special's promotional clip amassed over 1.5  milllion views.

"It's great to have the special out," says Yaffee.  "The folks at Dry Bar and Vid Angel did an excellent job producing this."  Yaffee said the taping, done back in January at Dry Bar Comedy in Provo, Utah and produced by Vid Angel Productions, exceeded his expectations. "The Vid Angel crew went above and beyond with the shoot and production.  Plus, I was totally blown away by their marketing that helped push my Facebook views to over 1.5 million views in under a week."

Yaffee, a 20-year comedy veteran,  was previously featured on the Showtime special, Goin' Native: No Reservations Required, the first all-Native American standup special.  He has also been seen on PBS,  FNX Network's, First Nations Comedy Experience and Byron Allen's Comics Unleashed.  He calls the Dry Bar model for producing comedy a game changer.

"Vid Angel, the producers of the Dry Bar Comedy specials, have identified a huge market of people craving clean comedy," says Yaffee.  "Since I do alot of corporate events and cruise ships, doing the special for Dry Bar turned out to be a natural fit.  I think this clean comedy wave will only continue to grow."

Yaffee's special, filmed in Provo, UT was part of Dry Bar Comedy's Season 4 tapings.  The sold-out night included Marc's taping as well as Duluth, MN comedian, Daren Streblow.
