MIAMI - EntSun -- MIAMI, FL – Director Gonzalo Mejía debuts with his first feature film titled "Por La Vida", selected to compete in the "Made in Miami" category of the prestigious Miami Film Festival in its 43rd edition.
The bilingual comedy-drama will have its world premiere on Sunday, April 12 at 5:30 PM at the Olympia Theater, marking a milestone for the director at one of the most influential festivals in the United States.
A STORY OF SECOND CHANCES
"Por La Vida" is an 87-minute film that explores family reconciliation through the story of Gerónimo, a former corporate executive who has left his business career to pursue his true passion: baking. His plans take a 180-degree turn when his daughter, Clarissa, appears at his doorstep with the police and a house arrest order. This forced coexistence between father and daughter becomes a journey full of conflict, humor, discovery, and the search for a second chance to rebuild broken bonds.
