Denver Couples Center Expands Team of Denver Therapists, Welcoming Alexa Mumm, LPCC
EntSun News/11101260
DENVER - EntSun -- Denver Couples Center, a trusted provider of couples therapy, relationship counseling, marriage counseling, and sex therapy in Denver, Colorado, is proud to welcome Alexa Mumm, a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate, to its team of Denver-based clinicians. Her arrival supports the Center's mission to offer high-quality, inclusive, and accessible mental health care for couples and individuals across the greater Denver metro area.
As demand grows for couples counseling in Denver and relationship therapy throughout Colorado, the Center continues to build a team known for its evidence-based approach to relational health. Services include couples therapy, marriage counseling, premarital counseling, sex therapy, LGBTQIA+ affirming counseling, and support for diverse relationship structures. Adding Alexa Mumm expands appointment availability and strengthens the Center's ability to meet the growing needs of Denver-area clients seeking individual therapy and couples counseling.
Introducing Alexa Mumm, LPCC - Denver Individual and Couples Therapist
Alexa Mumm is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in Denver, Colorado, practicing under the supervision of Shara Brun. She works with individuals and couples navigating seasons of transition, including relationship challenges, attachment and abandonment wounds, faith transitions, grief, pregnancy and postpartum adjustment, chronic illness, and identity development. Her work is especially suited to Denver clients seeking greater meaning, belonging, and self-trust during times of change.

Alexa earned her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a concentration in Body Psychotherapy, from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. Her clinical approach integrates somatic psychotherapy, attachment theory, relational and depth-oriented perspectives, and neuroscience-informed interventions. She is certified in the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and has completed Gottman Level 1 training for couples therapy — a widely respected, research-based method for strengthening communication and connection between partners.
Her clinical work is further informed by ongoing study in mythology, symbolism, creativity, and cross-cultural psychology, with a particular interest in how culture, family systems, and inherited narratives shape identity and healing. Alexa is interested in helping clients understand the patterns they have inherited, the ones they have developed to survive, and the possibilities that emerge when those patterns are brought into awareness.
A Stronger Team, A Stronger Denver Community
With Alexa joining the team, Denver Couples Center continues to grow as a leading provider of couples therapy and specialized counseling in Denver for married couples, long-term partners, LGBTQIA+ couples, non-traditional relationships, and individuals seeking relational growth. The Center offers both in-person sessions at its Denver office and virtual therapy for clients throughout Colorado.
