Primary Artists:
Novel Utopia is an American band and production team from Los Angeles, CA. The group was founded in 2021 by multi-instrumentalists Ethan Chilton & Christian Robinson (AKA Love The Paradox); their first show was at the legendary Troubadour venue in Los Angeles with an 18-piece experimental ensemble featuring Kennedy Williams, Sara Mulford as singers & Deep Red as spoken-word vocalist. In 2022-23, they release several "prototype" songs, solidified a core live band featuring Mica Erin, Kopona Otosi, Stella Kaplan, Aaron Reihs, & embarked on their 2024 EP - "Clarion Call" with drummer Gavin Harris. "Climate," the first lead single from 2024, features collaborators Kiavi & Ryan McDiarmid, both of whom were in the live band at the Troubador gig. The song originated in Robinson's solo project "Love The Paradox," but will be performed live primarily in Novel Utopia, thus spawning the collaborative feature.
