Claretta Street Series Creator Colette Barris Aims Series As The Next Great Story

PACOIMA, Calif. - EntSun -- Before "black-ish" there was Claretta Street The Series, Colette Barris is ready to share with America another Barris hit.  As the groundbreaking sitcom "black-ish" wraps up its run, all eyes are on Colette Barris sister of "black-ish" creator Kenya Barris and her series Claretta Street. Like Kenya, Colette's saga is loosely autobiographical. Claretta Street The Series is the prequel to the Barris world of Black family and community brings the Black community and the importance of 'The Village' in focus.  Colette Barris is represented by Sharon Parker-Frazier of Crystal Ship Artists NYC/Los Angeles. With "black-ish" ending the highly successful show has left a void for ABC and the race is on to find a replacement.  Claretta Street The Series serves as the creative origin/prequal to the Barris brand.  Releasing a rich and vibrant cast of characters highlighting "The Village."
