~ Bloomington, IN- The City of Bloomington is gearing up to host the 2026 La Fiesta del Otoño, a celebration of Hispanic and Latiné cultures. The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 19 from noon to 4 p.m. at Switchyard Park.
Now in its 21st year, La Fiesta del Otoño has become a beloved tradition in Bloomington, bringing together families, students, community organizations, local businesses, and visitors during National Hispanic Heritage Month. This year's theme is "Unidos, Somos Más / Together, We Are More."
The free event is open to the public and will feature a variety of activities including music, dance performances, community organizations showcasing their work and resources, arts and crafts, and food vendors.
According to Shatoyia Moss, Community and Family Resources Director for the City of Bloomington, La Fiesta del Otoño is an opportunity for all residents to feel seen, valued and included. "Our city is at its best when we come together to celebrate the rich cultures and traditions of our Hispanic and Latino community," she said.
This year's event will be bigger than ever before as it expands across the Switchyard Park lawn and Pavilion. This will provide more space for community activities such as live performances on the City's Mobile Stage on the park lawn. The Pavilion will also host participating organizations and indoor activities.
